Pensions - Why You Need To Act Now

There are many reasons why you may wish to transfer your current pension scheme, whether it be change of employment, poor performance, issues over the security of the pension scheme, divorce, or a need to improve flexibility.  Our FREE COMPREHENSIVE PENSION REPORT will highlight any issues we consider to be important, and the options available to you.

There are many issues to consider before transferring from one scheme to another and we will take you through these issues in our Free No Obligation Pension Report. In many cases, transferring your pension to another provider may not be the best course of action (you may be giving up guaranteed pension or annuity rights), we will make you fully aware if these options are available to you.

Worried About High Charges?

Pension charging structures have changed dramatically since the introduction of Stakeholder Pensions in 2004. The lower charging structures applied to Stakeholder plans have revolutionised the way modern pension contracts are charged. Some providers have adapted their existing contracts to reflect these changes, however many haven't. This has resulted in many individuals finding themselves with outdated, overpriced pension contracts. In many cases it can be possible to transfer to a cheaper plan with the same provider at no cost.

The Effects Of Poor Performance?

Investment returns on many pension plans have fallen well short of the market average. A Money Management* review of personal pensions over the last 20 years showed the best average growth per year for 20 years after charges was 15.3%pa. In the same period the worst performer had averaged minus 3%pa.
In real terms this would have meant that £10,000 invested into the best fund 20 years ago would have produced a return of £173,505 whereas the same investment into the worst performing fund would have produced a return of only £4,950 over 20 years. A staggering difference!
